Keep your
look pretty, feminine and delicate this summer. This season
opens up a way for bold girls and women to use various colors
for make-up. For this season international fashion shows makeup
artists have optedfor either colourful and beautiful look
almost nude style. It's easy to transform your scarf into a
beautiful halter. Fold the scarf in half to make a triangle,
then hold the triangle shape up so that the top of the triangle
is at your neck.
If you like to go heavy on the blusher, then they might not be
right for you. (They do layer fine, but it takes time.) They
impart a light wash of color. It is predominantly matte, which
I like as well.
So if you prefer to go the more understated route, treat your
bare lips to some gloss (preferably the palest of pinks, the
barest of browns, the coyest of coppers) after first lining
them with a neutral liner.
Eyeshadow is strong and highly pigmented but translucent;
reminiscent of a stained glass window. Violet, green, and most
notably orange are the colors of the season for the eyes.
Fragrance is a great finishing touch for any look. The hottest
trend in fragrance are scents that are food-inspired.
Bright blues, purples and greens are paired with lightly
bronzed cheeks and lips, neon pink lip gloss is worn with
mascara only, or coral cheeks are topped off with a slight
dusting of bronzer.
There is the essential rule to pay attention to when you put on
a make-up: you need to highlight either eyes or lips, but never
both of them.
Try to avoid thick foundation, and use the sheer kind, it’s a
plus if it has SPF of at least 15.
They come in powder form, all ready to be buffed onto the skin
with a puff or brush (always choose the softest brush possible,
and with a nice wide head ~ narrower brushes can cause
streaking).
A make-up features a palette of eyeshadows in summery tones of
brown, dusty turquoise, soft papaya, copper, pinks, khaki and
white.
Depending on the state of your skin, you may or may not need
concealer. If your skin is great, just use a tinted moisturizer
like Burt's Bees moisturizer to add color to your face. Pick a
shade as close to your natural coloring as possible.
Whether you’re looking for something fresh and flirty, or
something sophisticated and exotic, choosing the right perfume
is the perfect finishing touch to your ensemble.
Mineral makeup comes in a powder form, which is gently buffed
onto the skin using a soft puff or large, fluffy brush. The
finely milled powder works to cover imperfections and even skin
tone while imparting a healthy glow.
Bring back the volume and shine this season. Trade in your
lank, squished-under-your-hat hair for something chic,
glamorous and fun.
